Our iconic wedding venues

Our unforgettable and world-famous Hintze Hall provides a magical setting for your wedding ceremony or reception.

You can host arrival drinks or a champagne reception in Fossil Way, which adjoins the hall. Or if you’re planning a bigger celebration, you can add on our North Hall, which is perfect for after-dinner dancing.

Capacity: 450 ceremony, 450 dinner/dance, 650 dinner

Hold your wedding or civil partnership celebration in our beautiful, newly transformed gardens, a flourishing oasis in the heart of London.

Capacity: 300 reception, 100 dinner/dance

Say ‘I do’ with a twilight ceremony in our dazzling glass atrium before celebrating with drinks out in our charming courtyard.

Capacity: 150 ceremony, 150 dinner

If you love each other to the Moon and back, then our Earth Hall is perfect for you. Spend a romantic evening under the stars surrounded by remarkable objects that are truly out of this world.

Capacity: 400 standing, 200 dinner/dance

A delightful and intimate space graced with artworks that capture the beauty of the natural world, from historic watercolours to state-of-the-art scanning imagery.

Capacity: 40 ceremony, 80 dinner

Adorned with diamond displays and precious stones owned by royalty our glittering Earth’s Treasury Gallery makes for an exquisite and elegant setting.

Capacity: 25 ceremony

This charming space tucked away in our turrets with its captivating cabinet of curiosities has spectacular views both over the city and out beyond to Crystal Palace and the North Downs.

What’s dry hire?

We’re a ‘dry hire’ venue. This means you’re hiring the space only, without extras like catering, decorations or production (sound and lighting). For these things, you can choose from our list of approved suppliers.

Can I book a venue for a daytime event?

Unfortunately, we can’t offer daytime hire.

What’s the average setup time?

Suppliers can start setting up from 18.00 when the Museum closes to the public for the day. Setup usually takes approximately an hour to an hour and a half depending on the event.

Your guests can arrive from 19.00 entering the arrival area for drinks. The main event space normally opens from around 19.45.

How soon will you reply to my enquiry?

We aim to get back to you within 24 hours. If you haven’t heard back from us in that time, give us a call on (+44) 20 7942 5434.

How long will the booking process take?

Normally, our procedures take 2–3 weeks to complete, but it depends on the event.

What’s included in the booking process?

When you confirm you’d like to go ahead, we’ll send you our event confirmation form to complete and sign.

We’ll then issue our contract and invoice.

Once you’ve returned the signed contract and paid the deposit, your event is confirmed.

What’s the latest I can have my event?

Our standard hire is to midnight, but we can extend to 01.00, 02.00 or 03.00. For costs for extra hours, make an enquiry.
