Bloom and blossom this Easter with our range of activities celebrating the natural world and the bounty of spring. It’s fun for the whole family.

What better time than spring for our programme of family-friendly events and activities celebrating life on Earth? Bring your family along and take part in talks, crafts and tours exploring biodiversity and why it’s important to all of us. We have activities for ages 4+.

Half-terms and school holidays are particularly busy times for us. Book your ticket in advance so you don’t miss out on our Easter bonanza this April.

From birds and butterflies to evolution and climate change, explore the natural world with our scientists. Come along to hear about our cutting-edge research and to see incredible specimens from the collections we care for.

Go behind the scenes for a look at the fascinating zoology collection preserved in spirit we care for. You’ll encounter numerous treasures hidden among the 22 million animal specimens we house, including Archie our giant squid.

Meet by the Turbinaria coral bay in Hintze Hall

Join us for an hour-long tour of the most iconic specimens we care for. From the world’s most complete fossil stegosaur to a famous gorilla, don’t miss your chance to get to know our best of the best.

Meet outside the Human Evolution Gallery, Red Zone

Explore our Dinosaurs Gallery before it opens to the public for the day. Join us on our special guided tour and learn how dinosaurs were first discovered and why they’re so important to our science today.
