Blast off to the Natural History Museum for an after-hours event full of space-age activities
Make the jump to hyperspace and touch down on planet natural history for an evening of intergalactic fun. Speak with our scientists, see stellar specimens and visit Space: Could Life Exist Beyond Earth? – our latest exhibition.
Join us for a night of space exploration in our iconic galleries. From a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite to genuine rocks from the Moon, the collections we care for contain specimens that are truly out of this world.
Each ticket includes:
- after-hours access to our galleries and exhibitions
- entry to our exhibition Space: Could Life Exist Beyond Earth?
- the opportunity to chat with our scientists about all things space
- a self-led galactic trail of our most out-of-this-world specimens

Accessibility information
- Much of the event takes place on our Ground Floor. There is lift access to other areas.
- A dedicated quiet area is available throughout the event, and there’s seating in our galleries.
- We have several accessible toilets as well as a Changing Places toilet.
- If you or someone in your group is unable to queue for long periods, our security staff can fast-track you into the event.
- Blue badge parking spaces are available on request.
- To request a free ticket for a carer accompanying an individual with a disability call us at +44 (0)20 7942 5000, Monday to Friday, 09 .00–17.00. Tickets are subject to availability.

Visiting information
- This event is recommended for children aged 6+ and their families.
- Doors open at 18.45. If you arrive after 20.30 we won’t be able to let you in. Entry will be via our main entrance on Cromwell Road.
- Tickets are non-refundable.
- You must present a valid ticket at the door.
- Some activities will have limited capacity and may begin closing before 21.30.
- Photography and filming may take place during the event in which you may be identifiable. These images may be used for marketing purposes on our website, social media and printed publicity materials. If you have any concerns about being featured, speak to our staff.
