After trying to photograph hares in the snow unsuccessfully, Michel started to drive home, when he spotted the hunched shape of a buzzard perched in a tree.
The buzzard was immobilised by the cold providing Michel with the perfect photographic opportunity. Camera ready, he stopped his car in exactly the right position to include the frost-covered branches and twigs.

Michel's passion for nature began as a child growing up in the beautiful surroundings of a small village in Belgium. He started taking pictures as a teenager. His photography is guided by the emotions that the natural world evokes in him.
